Creamy Nutella Popsicles (2024)

It’s pretty much summer and that can only mean one thing: popsicles! Popsicles are so refreshing after a hot day and they’re SO easy to make.I recently bought this newpopsicle mold(a more traditional shape than myrocket ship popsicle moldand wanted to test it out.

Instead of making a fruit juice based pop, I combined COOL WHIP whipped topping and Nutella to make a creamy, rich popsicle that’s perfect for a light dessert. All you have to do is give the ingredients a quick trip to your blender, pour into a mold and just like magic you’ll have an incredible snack or dessert to cool you down.

I wanted to rate this 2 stars but it wont let me do any less than 3 but,I made these last night and the same thing happened to me as Jenn. Only the sticks came out. I left them overnight and it’s still stuck in the mold. I guess it’s going to be ice cream now.

soak your sticks in water while you mix the popsickles and pre feeze them 1 1/2 hour, than put your stick in. To get them out of the mold hold them some seconds under hot running water. Using plastik cups makes it easier.

Stephanie, that’s awesome! So glad you like them! I’ve been super curious about getting a Zoku…I’m too impatient to wait for popsicles to freeze!

I have tried these and they are real good. The only problem I had was they stuck in the molds (I spooned them out lol). Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you try running hot water on the outside of the molds before pulling out the popsicles?

Can you add more Nutella to make the popcicles more chocolate? Or does that mess up the consistency?

Cool Whip is terrible for you! Do you have a healthy alternative for this recipe? Cool Whip Original is made of water, hydrogenated vegetable oil (including coconut and palm oils), high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, skimmed milk, light cream, and less than 2% sodium caseinate (a milk derivative), natural and artificial flavor, xanthan and guar gums, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, and beta carotene (as a coloring).

Try using a can of coconut cream and Nutella and omitting the milk all together. Adds a lovely flavor and better than cool whip.

Use organic coconut milk in a can. Chill can for an hour in fridge then empty into bowl and whip till you have cool whip consistency and follow previous recipe:)

Just made the Nutells Popsicles, can’t wait to try them! This recipe only filled 4 molds, so I combined the Cool Whip with pineapple juice and poured that in the other 4 molds. OOOH I’m so excited!

Did the pineapple deter the freeze?

Unfortunately I omitted the cool whip and tried using coconut cream instead. The pops never froze!

Nothing like getting a free, and interesting, idea for a low cost dessert that most kids (and adults) would like…and then turning around and complaining that it’s unhealthy…then requesting an alternative without doing even the slightest bit of your own research. SMH.

Could you use peanut butter instead of Nutella? Or how about Hershey’s chocolate spread for a fudgesicle?

Hi! I am from the UK and we don’t have Cool Whip here. Can I just use some double cream or whipping cream (and whip it myself)?

So I have been searching the web for fun popcicle recipes and other fun things that are inside friendly. Well I found a recipe that uses Nutella in a popcicle. McKayla loves Nutella so I went with that as our first popcicle to make. I found the awesome recipe on 52 Kitchen Adventures websitehere. […]
